DULUTH, MN – John Rashid has been appointed as the director of Facilities Management at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He has served in the role of interim director since November 2014 and as manager of Construction and Operations since 2004.
UMD Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Andrea Schokker said. “It is wonderful to know that UMD will continue to be able to rely on John’s expertise and institutional knowledge. I know Facilities Management will excel under his leadership.”
Rashid came to UMD as a project manager in Facilities Management in 1997. He earned his MBA from UMD in 2002. He is a Professional Registered Architect, a certified Project Management Professional, and a LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council.
He is also an instructor in the Department of Civil Engineering at UMD’s Swenson College of Science and Engineering.
