Steve Keto
DULUTH, MN –Steve Keto has accepted the position of vice chancellor for Finance and Operations at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). His first day on campus will be October 1, 2015.
“I am very pleased that Mr. Keto has accepted this important position and brings his wealth of experience and success in higher education financial management to our team,” said UMD Chancellor Lendley C. (Lynn) Black.
Keto is currently the associate vice chancellor at North Carolina State University and oversees the Budget Office, Controller's Office, Office of Contracts and Grants, and Office of Cost Analysis. His previous work includes other universities and government agencies.

As vice chancellor for Finance and Operations, Keto will serve as the chief financial and business officer. He will be a senior member of the executive team, providing leadership and vision in the areas of financial and operational oversight and planning. He will provide direct leadership to the Business Office and Accounting Services, Facilities Management, and UMD Police.
Keto is an alumnus and earned his accounting degree from UMD along with having completed the Harvard University, Graduate School of Education: Institute for Management and Leadership in Education.
